These terms cover your use of Otter Mail, a desktop email app for macOS made by Christophe Kafrouni under the Otterware name. By using Otter Mail you agree to them.
The app
Otter Mail is free to use, and its source code is public. It runs on your Mac and connects to your Google Account with the access you grant when you sign in. How it handles your data is described in the privacy policy.
Your account and content
You stay responsible for your Google Account and for the mail you send with Otter Mail, and you must follow Google's terms when you use it. Your mail remains yours; Otter Mail claims no rights to it.
Optional assistant
The assistant works through third-party providers you install and sign in to yourself. Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms, and you are responsible for the actions you ask the assistant to take on your mail.
No warranty
Otter Mail is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Otterware is not liable for any loss of data, mail or other damages arising from using the app. Keep your important mail in Gmail, which Otter Mail never replaces.
Changes
These terms may change; the current version is always on this page. Continuing to use Otter Mail after a change means you accept it.
